Born in Jericho near Manchester, England in 1966, I went on to be a bit of a gypsy - moving frequently with my family and living in some of the most beautiful parts of Britain. Places such as Grizedale Forest in the Lake District, passing Beatrix Potter’s house each day on my way to school; the fishing town of Kirkcudbright in Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland; and having one of the best views of the TT Course in Sulby Glen in the Isle Of Man to name just a few until I finally settled in the little Spanish town of Arroyo de la Miel here on the Costa Del Sol, Andalucia.
I paint because I love it. Painting for me is the most satisfying experience and I personally find it very therapeutic. I have been teaching a weekly painting class for a couple of years now and believe that my lovely ladies would agree whole heartedly with me when I say that I think you will find I offer a very eclectic selection of paintings with possibly a common thread of spirituality running through them. My preferred media is Acrylics and metallic paints, I love how with acrylics you can achieve either a water colour finish or an oil painting effect depending on how you use them, and for me, the golds and bronzes give a unique slant to nearly any painting.
Finally, I have a love of textured painting and this is a characteristic in many of my paintings. I hope you enjoy looking at my work as much as I did painting it.
